Pochettino was sacked by Daniel Levy in 2019 after a five-year stint at the club that had seen them involved in two Premier League title races and reach the Champions League final. They also report that players are aware of the situation and are excited at the prospect of the 49-year-old's return. Levy has previously opened up about his decision to axe Pochettino, admitting that it was the worst decision he had ever made in football. It is understood that the Tottenham hierarchy was furious with Kane's recent public comments, but the return of Pochettino may go some way to repairing relationships between club and player.
