Tottenham change transfer stance as £80m Wilfried Zaha deal backed because of Mourinho

Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood thinks Jose Mourinho has changed chairman Daniel Levy’s transfer stance. But Sherwood reckons the appointment of Mourinho, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino two months ago, could change the way the club goes about its business. Frank Lampard’s Chelsea are also rumoured to be interested in the 27-year-old now their transfer ban has been lifted. However, Sherwood thinks Spurs could be in a strong financial position to shell out a club reckon fee. “It all depends what the philosophy is at the club now, whether they’re looking to bring their young players through or whether they’re looking to spend to win,” Sherwood told talkSPORT.
