Mauricio Pochettino has admitted for the first time his job could be under threat if Tottenham’s results don’t improve. The Spurs manager has faced calls to quit from a minority of fans after a dismal run of only three wins in his last dozen games. In that run came a 2-7 Champions League thrashing at home by Bayern Munich, which was followed by a 3-0 defeat at Brighton, and on Sunday only a late goal by Dele Alli prevented a further demoralising loss to Watford. Pochettino’s team face Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday night in the Champions League at White Hart Lane desperately needing a win to get their Group B campaign back on track.
