The deal will see Spurs pay an initial £55m but the fee could rise to £65m with potential add-ons. The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker has enjoyed a renaissance on the south coast and scored 21 goals last season. Solanke narrowly missed out on being selected for England’s Euro 2024 squad and is desperate to take the next step in his career. Tottenham have won the race for forward, though, and it now looks like a formality that he will move to north London.
