Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur makes grovelling apology to Son Heung-min after ‘bad’ South Korean comment

TOTTENHAM star Rodrigo Bentancur has made a grovelling apology to team-mate Son Heung-min after making a “bad” comment about South Korean people. The Uruguayan midfielder, 26, hit the headlines this week when he appeared on TV show Por La Camiseta in his homeland. Now Bentancur has taken to Instagram to issue an apology to his club captain after the fierce backlash. A statement from Spurs in February 2023 after that incident read: “We have been made aware of the utterly reprehensible online racist abuse directed at Heung-Min Son during today's match, which has been reported by the club. Bentancur is currently on a post-season break in his homeland while preparing to represent Uruguay in the upcoming Copa America in the USA.
