QUETTA: Life is crippled in Balochistan amid torrential rainfall and snowfall in different areas of the province, particularly Chagai district. The Balochistan government has imposed health emergency in the province after a heavy downpour caused flash flooding in local nullahs of Balochistan along with hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan. The weather of Quetta turned chilly by receiving snowfall in the month of March. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted widespread rain and snowfall over the hills accompanied with a windstorm in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Makran, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad divisions in Balochistan and Sindh. Several inches of snow has been recorded in Murree, Galyat, and Shagar, leaving many local people stranded in the region.
