Toronto-wide art project to spotlight brain health this summer: ‘Everyone should be part of it’

Released Tuesday, the artwork titled “brain wash” is one of 100 customized brain sculptures to be displayed in Toronto this summer as part of The Brain Project, which hopes to raise awareness about brain health and research. TORONTO — Mr. Brainwash’s brain projects a reality that is familiar to many Canadians. The proceeds of the city-wide art installations will benefit Alzheimer’s and dementia research at Baycrest Health Sciences. As the country’s population continues to age, more and more Canadians are living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. It’s an artistic rendering of the aging brain, and one the Los Angeles-based street artist and filmmaker Thierry Guetta, also known as Mr. Brainwash, hopes will inspire.
