Toronto police identify victim of fatal shooting in the Junction Triangle


Jerome Belle, 22, of Toronto, is the city’s 15th homicide victim of the year, police said Wednesday in a news release. Police were sent to Randolph Ave. and Perth Ave., near Dundas West station, around 3:30 p.m. after gunshots were reported. Belle was found with life-threatening injuries and taken to hospital, where he later died. Police are looking to identify a suspect wearing a white sweatshirt with the hood pulled tightly over his face who was seen fleeing the area on foot.
