Toronto man posed as delivery guy and obtained payment for fraudulent deliveries, police say

Toronto police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect in a fraud investigation. It is alleged that on Friday, Aug. 12, a man pretended to be a local business owner, called a business, and asked that business to pick up and pay for a package. Posed as a delivery man, the man then allegedly shortly after arrived to the business — in the Adelaide St. W. and Duncan St. area — delivered a package, and obtained payment. It was later discovered that the business owner was not expecting a delivery and that the package was fraudulent. The man allegedly performed a similar fraudulent scenario on Aug. 17 in the Queen St. W. and Brock Ave. area.
