In a tragic start to the Victoria Day long weekend, a Toronto man has died after suffering fatal injuries sustained in an ATV crash near Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough on Friday. In a news release, Ontario Provincial Police say they are investigating the death of 58-year-old Quang Danh of Etobicoke, who investigators say wasn’t using proper safety equipment while driving an ATV. The OPP’s Peterborough Country Detachment were called in at around 4:30 p.m. The crash took place two hours northwest of Toronto on private property in the Municipality of Trent Lakes, near County Rd. “The driver lost control of the vehicle, rolled, and as a result, the driver sustained injuries that unfortunately took his life,” Gravelle said.
