York Regional Police have charged a Toronto man who is allegedly involved in the human trafficking of two teenage girls under the age of 18. Police said the investigation began on April 3 into a suspected pimp, who is allegedly active online and uses numerous social media sites to find his victims. On April 26, police arrested the suspect after investigators located two victims. Laura Nicolle said police are not releasing the circumstances behind how the victims were found to protect their identities. He has been charged with trafficking in persons under the age of 18, procuring person under 18, exercising control, direction or influence over person under 18, two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography.
