Toronto police have arrested a suspect following an investigation into child exploitation dating back to 2016. In a news release Saturday, police said a man met a child online around Jan. 2016. They allege that he sexually assaulted the child at his home, sent explicit images to the child online, and continued to assault the child over an unspecified number of months. The man also allegedly kept in touch with an unspecified number of underage Internet users for sexual purposes, police said. Officers conducted a search near Victoria Park Ave. and Eglinton Ave E. on Wednesday and arrested Richard Adams, 37.
