Police have charged a 25-year-old man Toronto man for allegedly luring, threatening and extorting a 15-year-old child through a social media app. The man was arrested after police on Friday executed a search warrant in the Bathurst St. and Wilson Ave. area concerning a child exploitation investigation, Toronto police said in a Monday news release. Police allege the man also distributed, possessed and accessed child sexual abuse material. Sergio Bahamonde, 25, of Toronto, is facing two counts of possession of child pornography and one count each of accessing child pornography; distributing child pornography; extortion; threatening bodily harm; threatening death; luring a child through telecommunication, and attempting to make child pornography.
