Police have arrested and charged a Toronto man following a drug bust that’s considered the “largest-value” in the history of the Toronto Police Services. On Tuesday, Toronto police and the drug squad executed search warrants of the 32-year-old suspect’s home and car in the McCowan Rd. area, inspector Steve Watts of the Toronto police said in a news conference Thursday morning. Of the cocaine that was confiscated, 56 kilograms was located in a residence, while the remainder of the drug was found in a pickup truck. With a street value of $8.98 million, this bust is the largest-value drug seizure in the history of Toronto, according to Watts, who added there have been larger seizures outside of the city.
