Toronto police have made an arrest in the death of a 59-year-old man assaulted near Bathurst St. and St. Clair Ave. W. just before midnight Monday. Police officers found Terrance Coughlin with “obvious trauma” after witnesses called 911 to report that a man was being assaulted. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said in a news release. A warrant was issued for Curtis Ashley Wheatley, 35, and he was arrested Wednesday. Wheatley was charged with first-degree murder, and he will appear in court at 1000 Finch Ave. W. on Thursday morning.
