One year ago, the Star launched its Toronto Star Touch tablet app, giving readers a new way to enjoy the newspaper’s award-winning content. “It’s been a glorious year for Star journalism on this exciting new platform,” said editor Michael Cooke. “We’ve learned so much more about different ways to tell stories. And from what we hear, our readers are enjoying the ride too.”There have been more than 250,000 overall Star Touch downloads in the past year. “What Star Touch provides is a richer, more in-depth way to tell stories,” said Robin Honderich, senior product manager, Toronto Star Touch.
