Toronto Raptors not alarmed by loss in Boston, believing they’re on the road to recovery

BOSTON — The Toronto Raptors pitstop in Boston on Wednesday night wasn’t a complete disaster. Obviously the Raptors lost and offered an abysmal display of free-throw shooting, and the loss did move the Celtics a 1½ games clear of Toronto for second place in the Eastern Conference. Dwane Casey will always be the first to sound the alarm when he sees his team going off the rails. As for the free throws, this is not a problem that is likely to amount to much for the Raptors. They are a solid free throw shooting team hitting at a 80.5 per cent clip all season (fourth in the NBA prior to Thursday’s games).
