AUBURN HILLS, MI — When the Raptors open the regular season next Wednesday against Detroit, one of the key goals will be to limit how often All-Star centre Andre Drummond gets the ball. Raptors head coach Dwane Casey was not impressed with how centres Jonas Valanciunas and Lucas Nogueira handled Drummond. “I think I used the game tonight to learn better for the opening game at home, to try to work better on him,” Nogueira said. — Ryan WolstatThough he didn’t like the defensive effort, Casey thought Valanciunas and Nogueira did good things offensively. “He’s a smart player — he has a pretty high IQ,” Cory Joseph told Postmedia about Nogueira’s solid pre-season work.
