Toronto Raptors’ superfan has his own documentary

Raptor’s fans unite to celebrate the ultimate superfan – Nav Bhatia. If you don’t know Toronto’s biggest basketball fan, this is the perfect time to learn because there’s a doc coming out soon. Produced by CBC Docs and Good Karma Studios, Superfan: The Nav Bhatia Story chronicles the story of Nav’s early life as an immigrant in Canada, to 1995 when he was the guy with a turban and beard at all the games, to becoming a pop culture phenomenon – the Raptors Superfan. The documentary includes interviews with family, friends and celebrities such as comedian Russell Peters, NBA superstars Vince Carter and Isiah Thomas and Raptors head coach Nick Nurse, among others. Superfan: The Nav Bhatia Story airs nationally on Dec 3rd at 9PM on CBC, but Good Karma Studios is giving away tickets to lucky winners to an invite-only Red Carpet advance screening in Vancouver on Nov 20th.
