ANAHEIM – If, in the end, the Blue Jays blow this chance for a second consecutive run at the playoffs, this might be one of those “uh-oh” games that greased the skids. On the other side of the coin, the Blue Jays’ defence went to sleep behind some decent work by lefty Francisco Liriano, committing three errors, leading to four unearned runs. It is hard to imagine the Blue Jays coming up any smaller in such a big game, but their best weapon after this one is probably a case of amnesia. Once again in the third inning, the Jays put runners on first and second with nobody out and then stalled. Sloppy glove work cost the Blue Jays two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
