When Cassia Tofan tried on her first mermaid tail 11 years ago, she said it was like discovering another side of herself. A Toronto-based entertainer and entrepreneur, Tofan has been enchanted by merfolk ever since watching “The Little Mermaid” as a little girl. “I love seeing people's reactions when I'm a mermaid in public — it’s not just kids, it’s adults too,” Tofan said. “They have a passion for mermaids,” Moyles said.
