A 29-year-old man who was shot near Danforth and Greenwood avenues this week and later died in hospital has been identified by police as Thomas Michael Alcott. When they arrived, officers found a man who was unconscious and suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. Officers are looking for witnesses who were in the area and captured on video, but provided no information on a suspect. Police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time, or has any information about the shooting, to immediately contact 416-808-5500 or 416-808-7400.
