Little did they expect that Bhavana would do Kerala proud by securing 499 marks out of 500 in the CBSE examinations. A student of Palghat Lions School, Koppam, Bhavana is the only student from Kerala to rank among the 13 national toppers who secured 499 marks. “Although I expected good marks, little did I anticipate this national rank,” Bhavana told The Hindu. Palghat Lions School had been in the limelight last year when A. Vijay Ganesh became the CBSE Class 12 national topper in the differently abled category.
