In the Nifty50 index, GAIL (India), with a gain of 6 per cent, stood as the top gainer on Friday. It was followed by, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Vedanta. Bharti Infratel, Hero MotoCorp, HDFC, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and Power Grid Corporation of India settled as the top losers. Tata Steel, Hindustan Copper, Hindalco, SAIL and JSW Steel surged up to 5 per cent. Nifty PSU Bank index gained over 2 per cent today due to gains in Punjab National Bank, Union Bank, IDBI Bank, State Bank of India and Allahabad Bank, each advancing over 2 per cent.
