Competition leader Southern beat Zingari-Richmond 38-13 to secure the Eric Watson Cup at Montecillo. Harbour wrestled the Challenge Shield off Taieri at Peter Johnstone Park with a 23-10 victory, and Dunedin beat Alhambra-Union 17-5 at the North Ground. They were all perhaps predictable results but Green Island's upset 40-37 win against University at the University Oval may have caught a few off guard.
