The KubeCon exhibit hall was overflowing with such vendors offering valuable, differentiated products, and it was impossible to speak with all of them. At least one innovative storage vendor is getting into the act as well. Today, however, Kubernetes vendors are expanding its use beyond individual clusters. This vendor offers data protection and migration capabilities – which sound like two different things, but actually work hand-in-hand. Founded by two of the creators of Kubernetes, Heptio offers a subscription to Kubernetes, providing support for enterprises who choose to deploy still-immature Kubernetes in production.
