Author and conservative political commentator Amanda Carpenter got stuck in an Amtrak elevator and reached out to the company on Twitter. She had tweeted, "guys, I am trapped in an Amtrak elevator at BWI airport. TwitterNailing customer service response time, Amtrak responded to Carpenter a couple of days ago. Yes, approximately seven months later, on September 7. Not only did Amtrak apologise to Carpenter for the bad experience she faced with one of their products but asked "are you still in the elevator?"
