Privately held DoorDash is currently as hot as the food it delivers. Will it overheat from overfunding? The online food-delivery darling is now valued higher than Dominos Pizza, more than double that of its more seasoned competitor Grubhub and worth nearly half as much as KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut owner Yum Brands. The company raised $600 million last month for a total of $1 billion since February. Its valuation has ballooned from just over $700 million in 2016 to $12.6 billion today.
