The Mummy is the latest vehicle for Tom Cruise to fight enemies twice his size, sustain minor facial scrapes and demonstrate that unmistakable upright running form. Like every other movie he stars in, Tom Cruise gives it his all in The Mummy. Tom Cruise does not phone it in. Giving it his all is the Tom Cruise way. Not all of those movies have worked out, but this is the first that feels like it came straight off the rack, the first where you’re likely to forget that you’re watching a Tom Cruise Movie.
