"Tests are one of the most important issues from the two perspectives of securing safety and a sense of security for athletes," Tokyo 2020 chief executive Toshiro Muto told a press conference. The 2020 Games were postponed in a historic decision earlier this year because of the coronavirus pandemic and are now set to open on July 23 next year.
