The term of service for Tofazzel Hossain Miah, currently serving as the principal secretary to the prime minister, has been extended for one year, despite his scheduled retirement on July 4. The Ministry of Public Administration released a circular confirming this decision on Sunday. Tofazzel Hossain Miah, initially appointed as the principal secretary to the prime minister on December 7 of the previous year, will continue his tenure in the same role. Before this assignment, Tofazzel held various positions within the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), including secretary, director general, and private secretary to the prime minister, for a period exceeding six years. Born in Pirojpur on July 5, 1965, Tofazzel began his professional journey with the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1991.
