The lawmaker was in Bhola town’s Obaidul Haque College ground, on Saturday afternoon, distributing clothes to local poors of the district ahead of Eid. While speaking at the program as chief guest he said: “This year’s budget will include 93 lakh people. Previously, Bangladesh had a poverty rate of 44%. Now, it has decreased to around 20%-21% and the rate of people living under poverty is under 11%.”“Earlier during fishing bans, the government would have 40kg rice distributed to each fisherman.
