Police launched a murder investigation on Sunday after officers discovered the boy’s body at a house in Wythenshawe, in the south of the city. Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance just after midnight on Sunday, police said, but when they arrived a man and woman had left the house and gone to hospital. Supt John-Paul Ruffle, of Greater Manchester police, said officers had previously been called to a domestic incident at the property on Friday, 24 hours before the boy was found dead. Ruffle said: “We’ve had one previous domestic incident there, which was reported on the 25th of August.
