After receiving a complaint about "inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace" by Matt Lauer on Monday, NBC has fired its lead Today anchor, who had been with the show since 1994, NBC News President Andrew Lack said in an internal memo. Since the flood of allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein came out, women have been turning to the media to tell their stories of harassment and assault. Lauer came in for criticism last year for a botched interview with Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and for failing to challenge false statements by Donald Trump during a presidential candidates' forum. Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. NBC also fired political analyst Mark Halperin last month amid allegations of sexual misconduct, and NBC News fired senior VP of booking Matt Zimmerman earlier this month, also following sexual misconduct allegations.
