The value of seized medicines is Tk4 crore, Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) said. The court convicted 10 outlets in three different market – 212 Midfort medicine market, Taz Medicine Market and Amir Medicine Market – were fined Tk13 lacs for storing unregistered drugs, physician samples and dispensing drugs without any supervision of pharmacist. RAB executive magistrate Sartwoer Alam told the Dhaka Tribune that the seized artificial cattle fattening medicine from the two pharmacy worth about Tk1 crore. These medicines worth Tk3 crore, the official informed. DADG Superintendent Kibria said in presence of the executive magistrate, the seized medicines were destroyed at the dumping station of Matuail.
