Senior ruling party MP and former Housing and Public Works Minister, Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, disclosed this in Parliament on Sunday. "A statue will be erected on the spot from where Bangabandhu delivered the historic speech and the children's park will also remain there," he said. Referring to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mosharraf said children will come and visit these historic places. "Suhrawardy Udyan witnessed many historic events. Suhrawardy Udyan has served as a symbol of certain fundamental Bengali political aspirations, especially since 1969.
