MANILA, Philippines — The value of crops and agricultural products destroyed by Typhoon Tisoy has reached P2.097 billion, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). The NDRRMC said the losses covered agricultural areas in Southern Tagalog, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas and Central Luzon. Nineteen roads and two bridges damaged by Tisoy in Cordillera Administrative Region, Calabarzon, Mimoropa and Eastern Visayas remain closed. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is asking for in-kind donations for typhoon victims in Bicol and other areas. DILG Secretary Eduardo Año urged private companies, civil society organizations and local governments to send their donations through the airline company.
