Among other things it will involve “diagnostic centres operating 12 hours a day, seven days a week”. It seems, given that additional trained staff cannot be produced overnight, that this will involve the relevant staff (doctors, nurses, radiographers and others) working additional hours. What if the staff don’t want to work extra hours, or not consistently for week after week? Morale among NHS staff is already low and any pressure on them to work longer or
