Growth targets have been missed but by trying to put the blame for low growth on others, as your editorial correctly states (“Living on a Thin Line”, Mar 27), she damages her own credibility. The economy will grow when our entrepreneurs and businesses are given the opportunity to do so. Increasing the burden on business through barriers to employment, high taxation and increased regulation constrain this. The announcement to extend the Making Tax Digital for Income Tax project to smaller business is an example of this.
