A late change in AstraZeneca’s delivery schedule for last week and this week was blamed. The Government previously claimed the vaccination roll-out would accelerate this month with about 100,000 doses per week in March, rising to between 200,000 and 300,000 in April. Such is the backdrop to the understandable concern expressed by Social Democrats co-leader Róisín Shortall at the pace of our roll-out. In the US President Joe Biden expects to have enough vaccine for all adults by the end of May. We have enough talk but it is time to inject a bit of urgency.
