China is a country many Americans love to hate, whether the subject is geopolitical rivalry, trade or jobs. China is also already the globe’s biggest market for myriad products, which is why the vast majority of the S&P 500 does business there. China Gas is the prime beneficiary of China’s rush to embrace cleaner burning natural gas, as the country tackles epic environmental problems brought on by dependence on coal for heat and power. While China Mobile has rallied recently, China Gas shares are down roughly 35 percent since June. China Gas and China Mobile, however, have the advantage of being priced in Hong Kong dollars, a currency managed in a rough peg to the US dollar.
