Roncalli College's Jaxson Whyte with cups and gold medals won at the NZ Secondary Schools road cycling championships in Manawatu. The titles keep rolling in for Timaru's teenage cycling star Jaxson Whyte. The Cycling South Canterbury club member, who won the boys' under-15 Yunca tour in 2018, is also just as good on the indoor velodrome, after winning all four boys' under-15 titles in Invercargill in 2018. From over a minute behind heading into the last stage, Whyte eventually won the general classification by more than two minutes. Whyte now spearheads a strong South Canterbury contingent in the NZ and South Island Secondary Schools track championships starting in Invercargill on Wednesday.
