The central Timaru house cordoned off after an unexplained death. Police inquiries are ongoing into the sudden death of a person on Sunday night in central Timaru. Fire and Emergency New Zealand and St John said they had assisted in a medical incident at an Arthur St property at 10.48pm on Sunday. A NZ police spokesperson said there was no update on Tuesday morning as inquiries into the circumstances of the death were continuing. On Monday, police said the death was being treated as unexplained and that no further information would be available until after an autopsy had been completed.
