Pastor Gordon Rosewall will MC public forums on the Cannabis Legislation and Control and the End of Life Choice referendums organised by Wendy Geerling at Gleniti Baptist Church over the next two Monday evenings. Public forums giving a platform to controversial and opposing views ahead of the cannabis and end of life referendums in September, will be held in Timaru early next month. At the general election on September 19 voters will decide on whether the Cannabis Legislation and Control and the End of Life Choice bills go ahead or not through their vote. Each forum, run in conjunction with the Timaru Christian Ministers’ Association, will have a panel of five people representing different sides of the argument for and against each bill. The End of Life Choice Bill forum is planned for Monday, August 10, at 7pm.
