Timaru man Michael Ferris, 58, has been officially named as the man who died in a motorcycle crash near the intersection of Rosewill Valley Rd and King Rd on Saturday. Police were called to the scene about six kilometres north of Timaru about 7.50am on Saturday. According to a woman driving past the site about 7.45am, the motorcycle Ferris was riding had crashed through a fence into a paddock. Police extend their condolences to the family, a spokesperson said.
