A Christchurch truck-washing company has been ordered to pay $40,995 to a Timaru couple fired after about two weeks. The couple did nothing to justify their dismissal, she said. "Ms Weaver was also able to produce a final payslip from Truck Wash dated August 26, 2015, showing a payment for holiday pay that she says was never received." Weaver was hesitant but in need of money when she called Tamatea about three years later asking for work at the truck wash.
