“I’ve been talking with them to reverse it,” Craig O’Keeffe, owner of Craig O’Keeffe Builders said. IRD has published a public notice applying to put O’Keeffe’s company in liquidation with the application to be heard in the Timaru District Court on August 9. In 2015 Craig O’Keeffe Builders was a finalist in the South Canterbury Business Excellence Awards and in 2016 won silver and bronze awards in the South Canterbury Masters Builders Awards. Master Builders South Canterbury president Stu Heap said he had never seen the industry so strong. The Timaru District Council said since January up to July a total of 503 building consents had been granted.
