All this fanfare is in response to a simple 28-second recording of Los Angeles-based musician Arthur Fabbro peeling a banana in his kitchen and quickly chopping it into pieces with a spoon. Arthur figured he had a funny idea on his hands, but is surprised that the video has gone viral. 'I thought it’d be funny to set up a romantic mood by pairing the jazz music with the casual banana slicing, but definitely didn’t expect the response it’s gotten,' he told BuzzFeed. Quite a few viewers have also recorded their reactions as they watch the video, capturing their calm expressions and smiles as Arthur chops the fruit. Meanwhile, Arthur has some more fruit preparation tricks up his sleeve: He has also shared a video demonstrating his mother's method for cutting mangoes.
