Tigrayan People Losing Confidence in Ethiopian Federal System - DebretsionJune 13, 2019 (Ezega.com) -- The Tigrayan people have been under constant attack since Abiy Ahmed was elected Prime Minister more than a year ago, says Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael, the Deputy Chief Administrator of Tigray. In the interview, Dr. Debretsion all but condemned effort by central authorities to undermine Tigray. The deliberate attack on our people is pushing the people of Tigray to lose confidence in the federal or kilil system, he remarked. Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegne should be questioned first before Getachew Assefa is questioned, he said. The Tigrayan regional government has been increasing detaching itself from federal affairs for some time now.
