Polls will be open from 8am to 5pm on Sunday, and the Election Commission has said that preliminary unofficial results should be available by 11pm. Pol Lt Gen Chaiphot said police wanted to remind the public to strictly observe the ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages. The Election Commission has also issued restrictions on campaigning and referendum-related activities to ensure a fair and transparent election. Campaigning to encourage or discourage voter turnout in the referendum is prohibited from 6pm on Saturday until 5pm on Sunday.
